Once again, our friends over at Terra Crew put on another innovative and never-before-seen event in Johnson Valley in November 2025. The 3rd Prerunner Paradise event was a unique and celebratory film festival-style event where Terra paid homage to the creators and filmmakers in the off-road space.

The first event was held in a parking lot in Temecula, California, back in 2022, and while the event faced some challenges (wildfires nearby), the crew was able to pull off a truly unique event that gave some perspective into the creator side of the off-road world. That first event was such a success that Terra decided to try again in 2023. This time they were going to take the big screen and set it up in the middle of the desert. Where, might you ask? Lasertown—a private piece of property owned by Cody Wagonner (owner of Lasernut). This piece of land is an oasis in itself in the middle of Johnson Valley, California, home of the King of Hammers. Lasertown features a large container home, metal art, a koi pond, mature palm trees, a playground, and perfectly groomed dirt. It was the perfect place to continue the legacy of this one-of-a-kind event. 2025 was no different. The crew rented the property again and added a film festival contest to the agenda and gave away some really cool prizes to the top creator. Votes were cast by the attending audience on their favorite film of the night, and the winner walked away victorious with a custom WWE-style belt trophy, a free set of wheels from KMC Wheels, and a new Nikon Red ZR camera.

During the day, attendees were free to come in and out of the property, and many of them formed their own desert runs and held some cool jump expeditions at the nearest sand dunes. Once they came back to take a break, they could hang out, grab something to eat, and talk to the many vendors who came out to show support and be a part of this awesome event.

Once the sun went down, the film festival began. Terra rented a giant LED screen equipped with some of the finest audio equipment and showed all of the submissions from off-road filmers, creators, and even a few small groups of drivers who submitted their own homemade films. Terra themselves debuted their documentary film titled W.F.O.: The Story of Dan Vance, which is a short documentary about a legendary 1450 Class racer that broke the rules and drove the wheels off of simple build trucks and won championships in the process. Some say Dan’s racing was a very heavy influence on today’s prerunner culture, and we agree. If you haven’t already, make sure to head to YouTube and check out the documentary. Another film also premiered at the event, and that was the latest installment of Flight School—a film produced by Paul “All American Sender” and Dweezy Films. The night was full of great film content by both professional creators and amateurs alike. The top prize ended up going to a group of guys called “The BLVD Boys” and their film that featured their lifestyle and property where they built a full course for desert trucks and filmed all of their crazy shenanigans.

Although the original date for the event had to be pushed back because of crazy wet weather, we are happy to report that the event was a great success overall. We take our hats off to Terra Crew once again for creating an event for the community that pays homage and celebrates the guys behind the lens. Because if it weren’t for the content creators and filmers in this space, I’m not sure we would even know what the heck prerunners are! Terra Crew has our vote to keep this event going, and we can’t wait to see how they top off this event the next time around!
