When it comes to chill shows with killer rides, Lakeside Showdown in Meridian, Mississippi, hits the sweet spot. Held March 7–8 at Pat Harrison Water Park, this year’s event brought out the best of custom culture without all the chaos. Promoter Michael Wood made a few smart changes to dial things in just right—moving the show back to March to beat the heat, and cutting the schedule short to give folks more travel flexibility. Awards rolled out Saturday night, and a live band wrapped things up while the crowd kicked back under the stars.
The open show field was packed with custom cars, trucks, and bikes from all over. No drama, no stress, just a solid crew of gearheads doing what they love. Whether you were bagged and bodied, on wires or big wheels (or even two wheels), there was a spot for you. The laid-back energy made it feel more like a big family reunion than a high-pressure car show, and that’s exactly what made it special.
Our guy Damien Davis made the trip and came back with nothing but good words. “It’s a super laid-back show with great people,” he posted. “I had an amazing weekend in Mississippi hanging with the crew.” He grabbed shots of the cleanest builds, and trust us—this year didn’t disappoint.
Sponsors like Custom Metal Works, Pro Audio, Twin States Rod Shop, East Gate Tire, and Dynamik Graphics helped make the event run smoothly, and it showed. From the front gates to the final award, it was all about good rides and even better people.
If you missed it this year, do yourself a favor and mark the calendar for 2026. Lakeside Showdown proves you don’t need a giant convention center or big-budget production to throw one of the best events in the South. Just give folks a great spot, some shade, and a reason to roll in, and they’ll come.
See y’all next year!
