Installing a PSC Big Bore Steering Box on a 1998 Ram 3500

Upgrading to a PSC Big Bore steering box is a popular modification for 2nd Gen Dodge Ram 3500 owners seeking improved steering feel, strength, and reliability — especially for those running larger tires or frequently towing heavy loads, the this steering box may be for you!

In our case, we obviously are building Stock To Not into a drag n drive competitor (lots of street driving) and 2nd gen rams don’t have the best wrap sheet in the steering department, and the PSC Big Bore box is one of the most talked about aftermarket parts for these trucks – naturally we had to get one.

Whilst we didn’t have a stock gear to compare side by side since the truck isn’t anything more than a rolling chassis at the moment – we wanted to show off the shear beauty of these boxes that PSC Provides and some of the key features of this steering gear.

The installation was an extra hand and a half inch impact away! My OEM steering shaft fit right in the keyway and we were back to being able to steer this roller around the shop.

Thanks to PSC for supporting Stock to Not and we can’t wait to put this steering box to the test in a few months on the track! We will report back!
