When it comes to shows that hit just right, Southern Tradition is one of those can’t-miss events that always delivers. Held on April 4-5, 2025, in Canton, Georgia, this year’s throwdown brought custom rides, good food, and an unbeatable vibe to the heart of the South. Our guy behind the lens, Damien Davis, made the trip to capture all the action, and let me tell you, he didn’t leave disappointed.
For those who don’t know, Southern Tradition is more than just a truck show; it’s a celebration of Southern car and truck culture, family, and the laid-back, good-times atmosphere that makes this scene so special. Folks rolled in from all over the Southeast, pulling in slammed mini-trucks, lifted full-size rigs, bagged classics, and even a few badass bikes. The showgrounds were packed all weekend long, with rows of jaw-dropping builds that had everyone stopping in their tracks to snap pics or swap stories.
But it wasn’t just about showing off the rides. The vibe at Southern Tradition is always relaxed, and it’s about hanging with your crew, meeting new faces, and soaking up the passion that runs deep in this community. There were vendors selling everything from custom parts to cool lifestyle gear, food trucks dishing out Southern grub, and enough action to keep you busy from sunup to sundown.
One of the things that makes this show stand out is how well it balances hardcore builds with family-friendly fun. You could see dads and sons wrenching together, longtime friends pulling up side by side, and new builders getting props from the OGs. It’s a show where every kind of builder, whether you’re rocking fresh paint or bare metal, is welcome.
A big shoutout goes out to the show promoters for keeping Southern Tradition alive, year after year. If you’ve never made the trip out, put it on your calendar for next year. Trust us, it’s worth it. And to all the builders, cruisers, and showgoers we met out there: send us pics of your projects! We’d love to feature your rides in the pages of Street Trucks. You can email any time at chamilton@engaged.media. See you on the showfield!
